Theresa Elizabeth Calder was born June 15, 1953 to Alex and Philomene Calder in Wolf Point, MT. Theresa and her family moved to Helena in the early sixties so her younger brother Bruce could receive better care after contracting Polio.
Theresa lived in Helena until the birth of her one and only son, Vegas Calder in 1975. Shortly thereafter, she and Vegas moved to Aberdeen, SD where she attended Trade School to become a mechanic. After her schooling, they lived in various places until ending up in Springdale, WA, where she worked as a Mason for the next five years.
In 1993, Theresa finally settled down for good in Helena. She spent the next 30 years surrounded by friends and family. She was always quick to offer a warm place to stay and a hot meal if you needed it.
Theresa will be greatly missed by every person that crossed her path. She was the most loving, beautiful, caring, and selfless person to be around.
Theresa took her last breath on December 9, 2023.
Theresa is survived by her brother David (Eva) Calder; her son Vegas (Jada); Valerie ‘Buggy’ Twoteeth, grandchildren Austin (Lynz) Calder, Devlin (Payton) Calder, and Ashley Handley; countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
“We love you with all our hearts forever and always.”

Maggie Farmer Mccartney says
I fondly remember Theresa from High school. She also worked at Shodair when I did as a Nurse Aid. She was a fun and kind person. I haven’t seen her since High School, but thinking of her always made me smile. RIP Theresa.
