Thilda Marie (Nilson) Williams, 90 of Toston (Radersburg), passed away on March 28, 2012. She was born to Chloe C. Denney and Oscar Nilson on November 21, 1921 in Townsend, MT.
Thilda attended Broadwater County High School in Townsend, and went on to train as a nurse at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls. Following her education, she worked as an R.N. at Townsend Hospital for R.G. Bayles, MD and Frank P Nash, M.D.
Thilda married William David Williams on August 19, 1944 in Livingston Park, MT. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1992.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Townsend Ward. At one point in her life she was active with her genealogy and family history. She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart.
Thilda is survived by her son, Daniel D. (June) Williams of Radersburg; daughter, Jane L. (Williams) Alsager of Bozeman; a sister, Amy Maxine (Nilson) Davis of Bozeman; as well as six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; brothers, Oscar Paul Nilson and George Tate Nilson, sister, Dorothy Loraine (Nilson) Seaman; and brothers-in-law, Robert Seaman and Dietz D. Davis.
The family will begin receiving friends 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 2nd in the Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Townsend Ward. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow at Radersburg Cemetery. A reception and luncheon will be held at the Radersburg School House immediately following the burial. Memorials in Thilda’s name are suggested to the Radersburg Historical Preservation Inc. P.O. I remember when I was little visiting Tillie on the Ranch and also visiting my great grandparents on my moms side.
She was always kind and patient with 4 little girls running rampant in her house.
