Timothy “Tim” Lindeman, was taken way too soon on October 19th, 2021 at the age of 62. He was born to Duane and Toodie (Mildred Weidman) Lindeman on January 14th, 1959. He was the younger brother to his sister, Sherri (Lindeman) Jacobsen.
Tim grew up in Livingston Montana. During high school, he was actively involved with the Rodeo Team and attending rodeos continued to be one of his favorite pastimes. After graduation, Tim worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad. Later, he completed his lineman apprenticeship and spent the next 25 years working for Montana Power and Northwestern Energy as a Journeyman Lineman. He loved the people he worked with who were like family to him.
Being a great friend is what fueled Tim every day. He made friends everywhere he went. He never met a stranger and was a guy everyone wanted to be around. He always had a beer and great story for anyone that needed a laugh. He had a special way of touching the hearts of every single person he met. His hugs were the greatest and anyone who had the pleasure of getting one, will never forget it.
Tim had multiple passions. He loved taking trips to Las Vegas with his friends and family for the drag races, PBR, and NFR. He loved being in the mountains, camping, shooting, and 4-wheeling every chance he got.
Tim’s pride and joy were his two sons and three grandsons. He taught his sons to love and respect the mountains just as much as he did. Nothing made him prouder than telling stories about his boys. Tim was already a walking miracle, surviving an accident against all odds and giving his boys 20 more years with him. We are all so blessed for that.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Duane Lindeman. He shared a very special relationship with his father and had many wonderful memories with him. We know he’s smiling from ear to ear telling his Dad about all his grandkids.
Tim is survived by: his mother Toodie Lindeman; his sister Sherri Jacobsen, her son Brian and his son Devin; his sons Tony (Dani) Lindeman and Joe (Kylie) Lindeman; his grandsons Gunner, Waylon and Beckett Lindeman; his step-sons Kenny (Samantha) Berryman and their daughters Emma and Evelyn; Nick (Jessi) Berryman and their son Lucas, as well as innumerable friends and extended family.

I have many fond memories of Tim that I have tried to list. I know that I’ve missed some things, but these are the ones that I remember most:
Tim and I met in Helena on the dock. His first words to me were, “I was told to look out for you, because I was told you’re an a**hole.” I said, “Just learn your job, remember what you learn, and we’ll do just fine.” After that, we were on good terms.
He was one of my best apprentices as evidenced when he was honored as Best Overall Apprentice in the 5-States. He received this recognition at the Montana Lineman’s Rodeo at Holter Dam.
My sons, Robert and Anthony, got into trouble with Tony and Joe at many Montana Lineman’s Rodeos! They just did boy things together and maybe had a little too much fun! Tim always had fun with the boys, too.
I enjoyed teaching Tim throughout his apprenticeship and working with Tim. During those years, our friendship grew.
I visited Tim in Harborview after his accident. That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
Tim recovered and we continued to see each other at the Lineman’s Rodeos. He would never dwell on his injuries, but was always upbeat and I looked forward to his hugs.
Please know that I loved Tim and miss him terribly, even more now that I know I can’t see him again. I hope and pray that you remember your special times with Tim. I intend to…

My heart breaks at the loss of Tim. Whether you saw him at work or outside of work, he was always good for a great big hug. Your concerns were his concerns. He was a great man! You will be deeply missed but you were so loved! My condolences to the family.
