Tina and I have known each other since our days at the University of Montana. We both shared so many laughs over the years. I’ll never forget her wonderful sense of humour and ability to make lemonade out of lemons. My condolences to her family. Her warm ray of sunshine will be truly missed.

Although I haven’t seen Tina for many years, she always showed her kindness and compassionate self. I loved her smile and laughter. and cherished the friendship we shared. As time passed, our lives and circumstances changed and we lost touch with each other, but in my heart and memories I can see her beauty, hear her laughter and will say a prayer of thanks that she came in to my life. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends who loved her and who will miss her presence. May the Blessings Be.

Colleen and Family:
Tina was the light in many of our lives, this was especially true of those of us lucky enough to work with her at Revenue. Tina was an inspiration to us all as she battled cancer. She could always make you laugh and did this up until her passing. She never wavered in her faith and gave credit to her strong Irish heritage as she faced her many health challenges. She truly was an earth angel and now when we look up to the heavens, the stars seem to shine a little brighter. We know this is Tina’s way of reminding us she is still very much present in our hearts. God bless you all during this difficult time.
Louellen McCarthy Crennen says

What a wonderful friend to have. We were blessed when Tina sang “You Light Up My Life” at our wedding on top of Snowshoe Gulch in 1978, and Tina provided a bright light to so many other lives. The picture of her at our wedding captured the beautiful smile that she always showed to everyone.
Heaven has a new angel.
Shauna Longmire says
Tina was always such a bright star of hope, inspiration, and courage. She never once complained. I was so very lucky to have worked with Tina at Revenue and she was so many things, but most of all, she was my friend. I am so sorry that she is gone, but I know that the heaven’s will shine a little brighter now with her there. I will cherish my friendship with Tina and find inspiration when I think of how classy she was no matter the situation.

Coming to Helena High from Sunhaven, I didn’t know Tina well. Just admired her from afar. She had this crazy collection of moon booties & a fabulous personality. Always hoped I’d see her at school & see what she was wearing. So beautiful & funny.
Then we got to know eachother at the Uof MT… boy I’ll never never forget Tina doing the Bengal cheer w/ those washcloths. She was hilarious & a dear friend altho we didn’t see eachother much.
Dan Bucks says
Tina was a great fan of Joe Biden. She even had a chance to talk with the Vice President one day. I think that by the time the conversation was over, Joe Biden was a great fan of Tina. While she would dismiss the idea, Tina was, by the example she set, a great teacher. She taught us how to love and care for each other, to laugh harder than we have ever laughed before, to cry when it was worth crying, and to always fight for fairness and justice especially for the least and last among us. Tina did all the good she could do, in every way she could, for as long as she could. We are all the better for her touching our lives. We miss Tina, our Irish friend, dearly, but she will live always in our hearts.
Candy Cardwell says
Friends and Family of Tina Hash,
Since I moved from Helena I tried to stay in contact with Tina, and was saddened to learn of her illness. Tina and I shared many trials and tribulations over the years, and as always we tried to remain perfect ladies through the process. Tina always amazed me with her vision and ability to be a true child of God. Not only did she fulfill that vision, but was always the perfect friend… Tina was a friend to everyone she met; always the caregiver and nuturer. I already miss her and pray she is in our Savior’s arms pain free. I’m sure he has big plans for her in heaven, as he did for her on earth. I hope to meet up again one day and share another good laugh and hug. Please rest my friend; it has been a long journey! Friends and family, please remember that infectious laugh and smile and cherish your memories to help you through this difficult time. Tina would not want you to be sad!

Tina was an amazing woman who touched so many lives with her beautiful heart and a sense of humor which was unprecedented. Everyone knows that those gifts could’ve won her an outrageous livelihood, but God was first and foremost in her life and whoever could call her a friend could count themselves truly blessed. I’m so thankful along with so many others to have known her and grateful for the mark she made on our lives.

Jean Willing Mehrens says
It’s so sad that we lose contact with those we love, and then they are gone. This is an old poem my father in law used to recite:
Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friend’s face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
“Tomorrow” I say! I will call on Jim
Just to show that I’m thinking of him”.
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
“Here’s a telegram sir,” Jim died today.”
And that’s what we get and deserve in the end,
Around the corner a vanished friend.

I had the good fortune to work with Tina creating labor market publications for the Montana Department of Labor and Industry. She was a very professional researcher and writer–and the best copy editor ever. She cared about others and was generous beyond her means. She also had a quick sense of humor that I much envied. I will miss her very much.

I met Tina many years ago while we were both working at Quest. She was such a spitfire and always brought sunshine into a room.
Our paths crossed again years later when she was helping make pasties for a fundraiser to send her nephew to Australia. We all laughed and had such a good time.
she will be greatly missed not just by her family but by everyone who was lucky enough to have been touched by her light.

My thoughts and prayers are with Tina and her family. I was really sad to hear that she had passed. It was so nice to visit with her the last time I saw her at the Cathedral. I remember so many great times we had together in high school. Tina had such a terrific sense of humor and was always so happy. It was great just to be around her. I am thankful she is no longer suffering and in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now I know why you were on my mind these last several months. Now I know why I needed to reach you!
I am so sorry I wasn’t there to help you through this, I am so sorry I wasn’t there especially all the times you were there for me!
You were the sister I never had, I have never forgotten you. I do not know what kept us apart. Your everything; kindness, love, generosity, intellect, passion, understanding, and unconditional love to me, Sandy and our children is forever part of me.
More important, thank you for helping me stay alive, and for the role you played in me becoming the man I am today. Thank you for standing up for me when others teased me, when other put me down. Thank you for always reminding me the importance of seeking justice and never revenge. Thank you for letting me know the importance of preserving the innocence of our children. Thank you for always understanding me and not judging me.
Your messages of kindness, and love is forever branded in my brain, and it is the message I try hard to walk and talk as I meet others, all because of you! My grandchildren will know about you, so will my friends, coworkers and the strangers I meet.
Your faith in God amazed me.
Dan, Colleen, and all her friends and family I have never met I am so sorry she was taken so young from you! I truly believe Tina is walking next to each of us, and always will be. Her amazing strength is something we try to replicate.
Let us come together in our thoughts never let her memories and actions ever pass. Always try to reach out the way she would want us to, let us give a laugh to someone when someone doesn’t have joy, a small act of kindness to those that are feeling empty, feed those that are hungry, love those that have no one to love them, spread happiness to those that are sad, and most important help the children find their way when there is no one to guide them.
If there ever was someone that deserved be a Saint it is you Tina, well you are a Saint to me, and know to others. I will never forget you, and like yesterday and tomorrow I will miss you! Last, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Glenna Kendall says
Tina was truly an angel and I will miss her dearly. If I could speak to her one last time, I would say… “Tina I will miss your kind heart, your quick wit, your love of life and your friendship. I loved to meet you for “coffee” or to talk football or just share 1 laugh or 100. I love you sweet Tina.”
Randy Routzahn says
For the family and friends of Tina, we lost a great one. She was our Angel on earth and she will be in Heaven. It makes me feel safer and stronger with Tina helping us from there, now she will have the power to help all those she always wanted to. She instilled in me faith and hope and I am thankful for that. I have known Tina since the first kegger we went too and we just talked by the fire, she listened then as she did the last time we spoke. Since then we have been friends and she always had encouraging words. I would see her taking homeless people out to dinner in Helena and always thought she was a blessing. I have no regrets about Tina, only that she is gone. I am for one am grateful to have the opportunity to have known her and be part of her amazing life. Thanks Tina, I will surely miss you. Randy

I have to pay my respects although I lost contact with Tina in early childhood. We were in the second grade together. I remember talking with her the day after JRK was assassinated. She was such a sweet girl, kind even at age seven. Glad to see she led a blessed life. Wish I could have shared those years with her. Condolences to her family.

A poem for Tina by Kitty
Is She Gone
I think of this friend
so dear to us,
and all the fun we shared.
The help and the courage
she gave to us,
can never be compared.
And though she’s left
this world and us,
within our hearts she’ll stay.
To help us and
to give us strength,
to bravely face each day.
AMEN, Sista!
