In Memory Of

Tommie L. Knox, age 70, of Helena

November 14, 1946 – July 19, 2017

Tommie (Tom) L. Knox died July 19. 2017 in Helena MT. surrounded by family. He was born on November 14, 1946 to Wilbur & Elaine Knox in Battle Creek Michigan. He attended Weber State College in Ogden UT then enlisted in the US Airforce; becoming a staff Sargent. He met his only love Bonnie Knox on leave & they were married December 10, 1969. They then travelled extensively while he was in the service finally able to settle down in Ogden, UT. Later on moved to Helena, Montana where he drove school bus for First Student, for many years, until he became ill. Where they shared many happy moments with their children; Debbie Johnson, Kammie Rasmussen, Michelle Knox (deceased) & Corey Knox. He enjoyed football & was a long time Dallas Cowboy fan. We will fondly remember his excitement on game days & wearing his Dallas Cowboy hat wherever he went. He loved his football cards and would spend many hours rearranging them; he loved to show them off to people. He loved his 5 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren; they will miss their fun & funny grandpa.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Bonnie Knox, son Corey Knox, daughters Debbie Johnson & Kammie Rasmussen & his sister Eileen Knox, daughter-in-law, Paula Knox and son–in-law Ken Johnson. Grandchildren Misty Antonia, Brittni & Kelsey O’Leary, Makayla & Audrey Knox. Great grandchildren Hayden Antonia & Hailie & Hannah O’Leary.

He will be forever missed by his family & friends. Please watch over all of us Dad. The family wishes to thank everyone who cared for Tom in ICU Fort Harrison. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28th at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison.

I can speak for my family that Tom will be sorely missed. My son Elijah reminded me of Christmas party at Deb’s where Tom had gone thru his cards and added to his team with cards as requesting he convert to the winning team. Dallas lol. Tom has been a buetiful soul and has made a everlasting impression on all of us. Love to all the family and his wonderful wife Bonnie. The LeCours have you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Dad I will miss you very much. You always let me know how proud you were of me. Well I’ve been proud to be your son. Your best quality is kindness. Throughout my life I knew you would do anything for me and that you loved Mom dearly. I want to say thank you for being my Dad. I’m sorry Kammie ate your skittles. Perhaps you will have a laugh one day when her teeth fall out. I love you Dad .
