Verna, my brother and their family lived in Aurora, CO while I was finishing A.F. Basic Military Training and attending a lengthy tech school. During this time I had many many great home cooked meals at her home and we became good friends. Verna was a very carrying person who always made me feel welcome. She will be missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

Verna was my very good friend and co-worker at the Topeka VAH. We all loved to go to her home and have her famous fried chicken and potato salad. We celebrated alot of holidays together and I was very happy to be part of her family. She loved to cook and saw and we are all the better for it and all her friends here in Kansas and co-workers at the Topeka VAH miss her and our prayers are with each of you.

Verna was a wonderful person. I am so thankful that we have been in communication, even tho most of the time it was at Christmas. She always had a smile and full of life. She taught me many things, and I appreciated her friendship so much. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, Margie, Valarie, and Carl… I pray that God will grant you the peace that only He can give. Hugs to all of you.
