Victor Joseph LaForge, Jr was born in Detroit, MI, August 2, 1929, to Victor and Linda (Eckloff) LaForge. Vic passed away on August 26, 2017, at St Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Montana. Vic grew up on a farm outside of Ishpeming, Michigan. After graduating from high school, he started working in road construction. Vic was drafted in 1951, and joined the Army, serving in the Korean War. In 1952, he married Elaine M. Perttu, in Ishpeming, Michigan. They had four children and the family lived in Michigan, Minnesota, and Montana, while Vic worked in the road construction field. Vic and Elaine settled in Helena, Montana, in 1978. Vic enjoyed hunting, fishing and time with his family, especially his four legged family members.
Vic is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children: Barb, Mike, Vickie, Cheryl and their spouses; nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Beverly Ward.

A graveside service with military honors, will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Montana State Veteran’s Cemetery, 3550 Hero’s Rd, Fort Harrison, Montana.
