Virgil was a wonderful person. Always a smile and a kind word as well a bit of teasing to keep one laughing. It was a joy to see him drive up looking to see Lucky so they could exchange news as well as checking on one another. He and Lucky also exchanged “extra” left from the odd meals so each could enjoy someone’s cooking other than their own. I will miss him.
And I know that Lucky has lost a very good friend who brightened his day with visits and phone calls. He was a blessing to all who knew him. God will love having him home even as we grieve our loss. Lucky and I are praying for Virgil, for you, Steve, and all your family.
    God bless you all.

We are so sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather and we have lost a very dear friend as well. We have so many happy memories of all our McDonald coffee meetings where everything in the world was discussed and good friendships were formed. Virgil always had a happy attitude and was so glad to see everyone. He will be missed.

My condolence to all his family. I have many visits with Virgil & Lanny drinking coffee & eating donuts. We had many great, exciting conversations about everything. We solved all the problems of the world and laughed while doing so. I will truly miss his style and generosity with me. He was a man who brought himself from hard times of just getting by, to investing his life in making a great name for himself and helping others in need. I will miss him.

Grandpa, you are missed. I always enjoyed hearing the stories about your life and the lessons it brought. I’ll always think of you when hunting in the woods for elk with the rifle you gave me. May your soul rest in the presence of our Lord Jesus. We love you.

You were an amazing man and loved deeply and dearly. I remember as a little girl riding horses at your house And playing the antique board games with my sister and always feeling at home and so peaceful at the house. Rest in peace.

When I think of my Uncle Virgil I think of honor, values, loyalty, friend, family. Also, I think of how when he was 11 he planted and harvested his first crop to feed his family. At 17 he joined the Navy and fought in World War I I and Korea. He will be missed and never forgotten.
I am so sorry for the loss and my thoughts and prayers go to the entire family.

I’m sorry to say but I did not know Virgil had passed away. He was my 1st cousin, with both of us growing up in Brinkley, Ar. I am so disappointed one of his children did not let me know. We had kept in touch until the last year.

Virgil was one of the nicest men I have ever know. He worshiped his Mom and Dad and took care of them until they passed away. I will always remember him as the kind person he was.

    Will miss you. Love, Jean
