My wife Käthe and I enjoyed knowing Warren at Waterford/Touchmark. No matter how he felt, Warren always reached out to us with his friendly smile. When our grandchildren came for Sunday brunch, he greeted them with compliments supplemented by a few pieces of candy. Warren was self-effacing about the excellent paintings he had done, but he gave us the privilege of seeing and enjoying them. Another pleasant experience was showing Warren YouTube videos of trains on the Butte-Billings route on which he was an engineer. He knew every grade, pass, and tunnel.

My maternal family hails from Butte. I did not know Warren, but wanted to send my condolences and also comment on the absolutely lovely and wonderful picture posted here. The love of these two people radiates through the picture, over the miles and transcends through time and years. Thank you for sharing this lovely photo. May they rest in peace and in each others arms together with our Lord.

When I was in Waterford with Warren, I sure liked him. We both came from Butte, so everytime we passed each other we said, “Hi, Butte.” You would never know he was not feeling well because he always had his happy smile.
