Wayne Robert Willey

September 21, 1962 – March 4, 2012

At rest and in peace, “JR” Willey, age 49 passed away on Sunday, March 4th, 2012. Born in Sacramento, CA, JR lived in Helena for the last 20 years.

His greatest joy in life was his son, Justin. Justin was born to JR and Deborah Willey on September 13th, 1990.

JR married Lorrie Rothweiler on October 31st, 2002. Together they loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and their dogs. He was a fan of the Oakland Raiders and the San Francisco Giants.

With loving memories of his golden heart and quick wit, JR will be missed by his son, Justin; wife, Lorrie Willey; parents, Wayne and Carolyn Willey; sister, Kristin (Dave) Striplin and their sons, Michael and Matthew; and many family members and friends.

We will have a Potluck Celebration of JR’s life at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 9th at the Libation Station. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.aswfuneralhome.com

I am deeply saddened and heart broken to hear of JR’s passing. I know he is in a better place now and not struggling anymore. I will sorely miss his sense of humor as he could always make me laugh. And he always had lots to say about his son Justin and how proud of him he is. My deepest sympathies and condolences to the family. May you find peace at this time. Rest in Peace my friend.

    Dear Deb & Justin,
JR was a wonderful guy, and I counted him as my friend. Working with him at the radio station was always fun. Justin he loved to tell me about all your successes – he was so proud of you. Justin, I’ll always remember “playing” with you at Bert & Ernies, and showing your my rocks!

May you both find comfort knowing JR is at peace.

    Love
    Joyce
