Willis Marie Nielsen passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Masonic Home in Helena, MT. Willis was born July 23, 1921 in Lewistown, MT, to William and Etta (Fields) Minlschmidt. She attended school in Lewistown and was married to Sam N. Nielsen in Harlowton, MT on August 29, 1938.
Willis retired from the Helena Police Department where she worked as a dispatcher. She was an avid quilter and knitter, and spent many hours sharing her talents with family and friends, all of whom were gifted with many of her beautiful handcrafted treasures, made with love.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by daughter, Pat (Ed) Brooks of Helena, sons; William (Dora) of Great Falls, Ken of Helena, and Kory (Kandis) of Lewistown; nine grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. Memorial in Willis’ name may be made to the Masonic Home, 2010 Masonic Home Road, Helena, MT 59602.

Willis had an interesting life, being raised on a Montana Homestead, Raising her own family, working and finally enjoying her retirement by quilting and crafting . She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her
