Wilma Thompson age 89 of Helena Mt

Wilma Lorain Thompson of Renaissance Living Center, 525 Saddle Drive, died of multiple myeloma on May 31, 2014.  Wilma was born in Oak Creek Colorado on July 17, 1924 to Bill and Opal Foster.  She was raised in the Sidney area of Routt County, and she attended Oak Creek school. 

Wilma married Alva Earl Thompson August 5, 1942, and the couple spent many years ranching in the Steamboat area.  Wilma and Alva had three children, Marie (1943), Tom (1948) and Alice (1950).  Wilma provided a wonderful loving home for her family, and she most enjoyed her time spent cooking fabulous meals and working with her family.   She was active in local organizations and she contributed greatly to her community, wherever she was. 

Wilma is survived by her husband Alva of Loveland, CO; her sister Edna (Don) Krawczyk of Steamboat Springs CO; and her three children, Marie (Paul) Willis of Miami Fla, Tom (Janice) Thompson of Walden CO, and Alice (John) Hinshaw of Helena, MT.  Wilma is also survived by eight grandchildren: Nicole (John) Erikson of Redondo Beach CA; Mark (Linjing) Willis of Shanghai, China; Kimber Thompson of Greeley CO; Levi Thompson of Hastings NE; Shauna (Kraig) Rubel of Polson MT; Lynette (Dana) Duford of Polson MT; Brenda (Chad) Brown Rand CO; and Lisa (Kris) Lodwick of Steamboat Springs CO.  Wilma had seven great-grandchildren.  She is our hero. 

There will be no immediate formal services for Wilma. A family gathering will be held at a later date in memory of Wilma.
