In Memory Of

Gail Adams Wilson, age 71 of Helena

April 27, 1946 – May 14, 2017

Gail Adams Wilson, 71

Gail was born April 27, 1946 and raised in Helena. She spent her life with husband Sande traveling the world and raising their two sons Jeff and Mark. Gail passed unexpectedly May 14, 2017 in the town she loved the most, Helena.

Born in Butte to James and Helen Adams, Gail grew up being a Bengal in Helena and a Grizzly in Missoula, marrying Sande Wilson in 1966.

In addition, to being an amazing wife and mother, Gail spent a 20- year career in both government service for the CIA and an operations manager in the private sector.

A life-long progressive liberal, Gail was a voracious reader who devoured the news and loved holding court. She truly enjoyed lively conversation among friends and family. She was an excellent bowler, avid swimmer and always sought to improve her bridge and golf game. Gail lit up people’s lives with her infectious laugh and huge heart.

Gail is survived by her husband Sande and two sons Jeff and Mark; their respective partners Oliver Yandle and Michele Willett; sister Dana Gilliland and her three children Mary Balsley, Kristy Gilliland and Kimberly Villarreal; brother Jim Adams and wife Cathy O’Brien, his children Erin Adams-Griffin, Jake Adams and Joe Adams.

Honoring her wishes, no service will be held. Condolences may be sent to 2234 Goldrush, Helena, Montana 59601. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to a charity of your choosing. Please visit below to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of Gail.

Sandy and Family, Please know of my sincere sorrow in your loss of Gail. I valued her friendship for years, especially bridge club. I called Grayce and she was devastated.
May God bless you and comfort you in the weeks ahead. Elaine

I can still hear her laugh, she had a great sense of humor. Besides she was an excellent bridge player!

When Gail & Sande came home from Thailand for a visit, we were sitting in Karen and Louis’s backyard, she was wearing a fabulous pair of earrings.I said how much I loved them and she took them off and put them in my ears!! GENEROUS in every way, especially of herself. She will be in my heart FOREVER!

Barbara and I knew Helen for many years in Washington before we met Gail, who arrived from an overseas assignment, with two boys and no husband and I was greeted with a hug. Our beautiful friendship grew from there. Lots of fun and laughter with the whole
    family is always remembered.
I am very saddened she is no more and send my condolences to you Sande, Jeff, Mark and all of the other friends and family I never met. A great lady!
