Barbara “Ann” Flint Amundson was born in Great Falls, MT on March 13, 1947, and died in Helena on March 8, 2019, she lived a life caring for all who crossed her doorstep.
Barb grew up in Helena, graduated from Helena High in 1965. She attained undergraduate degree from Montana State University and her Masters in Education from Central Michigan University. Her heart was in teaching and up to the last week of her life she would hear former students say, “Hi, Mrs. A.”
Barb married the love of her life, Robert Amundson, on August 11, 1979 and welcomed Bob’s children to make an instant family. Her son, Tyler Amundson, was born in 1985. Lexie Amundson, her granddaughter, joined the family and became a daughter. The best part of her later years was playing with and supporting her grandchildren.
She was a school teacher in Midland, MI, was the teacher at Pre-School Inc in Helena, and served Montana’s children through non-profit jobs. She was passionate about children, and excelled at helping young children learn and grow.
She enjoyed baking, picnicking, spending time with family, and never stopped playing games and cards. Some of her joys were organizing parties, getting friends together, making sure holidays were meaningful, and ensuring everyone felt they were loved and cared for.
Barb is preceded in death by her mother (Gertrude Flint), father (Robert Flint), and daughter (Christine Amundson).
She is survived by her husband (Bob Amundson), son and family (Tyler Amundson, Crystal, Corinne, and Quincy) of Billings, granddaughter (Lexie Amundson), daughter (Michelle LeBowsky), sister and husband (Bonnie and Jim Striebel), and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

I’m sorry for your loss and I pray for your comfort. Please keep in mind that our Heavenly Father and God promises he will resurrect those who are sleeping in death. ( John 5:28,29) This means they will come back to life and we will see them again.

Dear Bob and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Your family is always in our hearts and we will miss Barb and all the fun times we all had together at parties, and dinners. Barb was always so good at entertaining and made the best food. Most of my recipes in my cook book are from Barb. I also remember the fun we had at Halloween, New Years, and dinner parties and when we all got together camping and at Fairmont. Our family always enjoyed getting together with yours because we all liked games. You and Barb were always such patient teachers at card games, and while we played Tyler and Charla would play nicely together. I also enjoyed getting to know your whole family, they are all such delightful warm and welcoming people. Knowing your family has been a highlight of my life. I will miss Barb. I will think of her each time I see a gift that she gave me. Please keep in touch and let us know if there is anything we can do.
