Bhumata Devi Santiago: April 17, 1974 – October 13, 2015
Daughter of Mother, Pam Santiago Peck, and Pops, David Peck, traded in her walker and is now dancing with the angels. Bhumata came to our family the summer of 1976 and blessed us all. She enjoyed music, cheerleading, arts and crafts, presents, paper and all of her family and friends. Bhumata enjoyed spending time up at her Uncle Scott and Aunt Lisa’s home. She lived her short life to the very fullest and will be missed by all of us. Bhumata is survived by Mom and Pops, sister Heidi and her family, Don, Hannah and Micah, her brother Michael and his family Chrissy, Madison, Carly and Casey, Grandma Oyler, Uncle Scott and Aunt Lisa and their family, Aunt Christy Erickson and her family, Aunt Katie Purdom and her family, as well as Aunt Linda LaFournaise and her family; Bhumata is also survived by all of her friends and family at the Caldwell House and Westmont.
Our master trick or treater and artist is no longer in pain and joins her loved ones in heaven.

My sincere condolences to Bhumata’s family. I had her in my classroom at Lewis & Clark in Great Falls & still smile when I think of her. She was outgoing, enjoyable to have as a student and very personable & friendly. It’s been many years since I last saw Bhumata but I have never forgotten her. Pam, I so enjoyed your support, too. May you rest in peace, Bhumata…….till we meet again!!! Mrs. Duren

Bhumata was my sister. I will always hold the memories of our childhood and know that I will always love you. I hoped for us to reunite so I could have memories of us spending time together as adults. But the Lord had other plans. You were always in my thoughts and I have never ever forgotten you. You would be happy to know you had two nephews and one niece. I talked to them about you all the time. I know you are in a better place and you will be greatly missed. Until we meet again my loving sister you will always be in my thoughts.

I knew Bhu in Boulder and continued to connect with her when she moved to Helena. She was joy to have at Social Club, especially the dances. She danced in her own style and always seemed to have fun. Even when she utilized a walker, she would still be out on the dance floor! You will be missed Bhumata, rest in peace.
