Darlene E. Ness, 76, of Helena passed away February 17, 2011 in Helena.
Darlene Emma Ness was born October 19, 1934 in Chinook, Montana to Harold and Mary LaRiviere. After her graduation from high school, she married Gordon Lee Ness June 21, 1953.
Darlene and Gordon moved to Helena in the spring of 1958. Darlene worked at various jobs before retiring from the State of Montana after 20 years.
Darlene loved life, her family and her many friends. She enjoyed fishing and camping. She loved to crochet and read continuously. Cooking was a way to share her love with all that stopped by, and she was willing to tray new recipes all the time. She enjoyed her card club and the laughter that was there. Darlene had a fabulous way to look at life, and laugh and make light of some of the most serious events in her life, even up to the end.
Survivors include son, Harold Lee Ness with Judith Bell of San Jose, Calif.; daughter, Susan Lynne Hoberecht married to Bill Redmon with grandsons, Luke and Cole Hoberecht of Seattle, Wash.; son, Steven Mitchell Ness, his wife, Karla and granddaughters, Jasmyne and Jordain Ness; and son, Bruce Allen Ness with his son, Joshua of Helena.
Her parents and brother Tom LaRiviere preceded her in death. Her husband also preceded her in death in June 2007.
Private family services and interment will be held. Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home of Helena was entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.aswfuneralhome.com.
