Dolores Ingersoll Strom
(absent from the body, present with the Lord)
Dolores Strom was born in Helena during the 1929 depression to Vern and Lucille Ingersoll. She was an only child, but had many cousins and relatives to fill out a great family.
She felt very lucky to be raised in Helena and couldn’t imagine wanting to live anywhere else. Living in a small town (at that time) provided freedom and activities that are unknown in a more populated Helena of today.
Being a single mom, she raised two boys. She was employed as a secretary for many years. In 1971, she married Jim Strom and became a full-time wife and they spent several years traveling as snowbirds. Together she and Jim enjoyed traveling and activities, and making many new friends before coming back to Helena for the remainder of their lives.
Dolores graduated from Helena High School and stayed close to her classmates; she had many great reunions and get-togethers with those valued friendships throughout her life.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy and David Clarke; a great-daughter-in-law, Melissa Anderson; and a wonderful grandson, Kasey Clarke.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 26th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. with a reception to immediately follow at 3855 Karla Dr., Helena. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.aswfuneralhome.com

My friend, Sharon Henderson, and I would like to convey our condolances to Dolores’ family. Yeara ago Dolores and I lived close together. I used to go over to her house and call “Hey, little girl–can you come out and play”. We saw each other often at the Elks Club and the above was a standing joke. She could remember my doing that, too! She was a lovely lady.
