Elaine Polyasko, 90, of Helena, Montana passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, with her daughters by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Louis Polyasko.
Elaine was born October 5, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio. She was the daughter of Wasyl and Maria Krochmalny. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1943 and worked as a bookkeeper during WWII.
She married Louis Polyasko on May 25, 1946 and they raised three daughters. She was a talented artist and enjoyed oil painting and decorating Ukrainian eggs. She loved cooking the old family recipes and had a passion for keeping the family traditions alive. Elaine loved the Lord and was a loving mother and wife. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Elaine is survived by her three daughters, Janet Pol’jacsko Bellis (Bill) of Pinedale, Wyoming, Joanne Polyasko of Helena, Montana, and Jennie Polyasko Corley (Kim) of Helena, Montana, three grandchildren (Irene Bellis-DeMaria (Ed), Louis Bellis, and Galen Bellis); and three great-grandchildren (Anthony, Liam, and Isabella DeMaria).
A graveside service was held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Forestvale Cemetery in Helena, Montana.
