Sandra,
We are so sorry about Sturgis and wish he would have been able to come out and see us last year after he got his new car. Please keep in touch with all of us – we love you.
Richard Wallin says
Sturgis was my cousin. He was California Cool. Came to visit in Utah and that is how I introduced him. Standing with his ankles crossed, leaning against a building, a smoke hanging on his lip and a haircut we used to call “Flattop with fenders. James Dean cool. Had good times back then and am going to miss him. Be safe and grieve as long as it takes, Sandra.
Deanna Moore says
I have good memories of visiting with Sturgis a few years ago when he was visiting Mom.
Also, years ago, when visiting at your home in San Jose, Sturgis took my friend, Betty Lou, Joyce and I on a tour of the city. I remember especially going to the zoo. He was always so kind and friendly. I’m sure the good memories you have of him will help you with this loss, Sandra.

Memories of growing up are a wonderful thing. We didn’t see him often but we had fun when we did. Know that you are loved, Sandra.

Terry Reeder says
Sandy, just read the obit and am very sad for you. I always called him Eugene, as he was known around the Santa Cruz area. Eugene, Howard and I spent many wonderful moments together, mostly at veteran events. I remember when he made “ALL-STATE COUNTY COUNCIL COMMANDER” of the Santa Cruz-San Benito County Council, Veterans of Foreign Wars. We attended many events together, including BBQs at Fremont Peak in San Juan Bautista. I was sad when he went “back east” to be near you. He never complained about his infirmities, though we all knew he was suffering. That is behind him, now. May he live in our thoughts forever.
