Gladys Elizabeth (Wystrach) Stout passed away on May 4, 2016 in Helena, MT. She was born in Helena, MT, on July 13th, 1920 to Eugene Joseph and Hulda M. Wystrach. They later moved to Square Butte, where she attended grade school. She graduated from Geraldine High School in 1938 and from Western Montana College in 1940.

Beside raising a family and teaching, she participated in many community activities, and also went on to earn a BS degree in Elementary Education.
After retiring, she and Jim did a lot of traveling in both the United States and Europe. In 1996 they sold their farm and home in Ballantine, and moved to Denver, CO. Six years later they returned to Montana and their present home in Helena.
Gladys is survived by her husband Jim, and two sons, Gary (Patti) and Darrell; three grandchildren, Nicole (Johnny Keintz), Douglas (Ciara) and Allison; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ainsley, and Noah Keintz, and Emmaline Stout.

Please accept by condolences on the passing of your Mother.
Louie Pfrangle says
Sorry to hear of Gladys’ passing. She was my mother’s cousin. Emma Rudolph Pfrangle was my mother. I can remember Uncle Joe and Aunt Hulda coming to Cody years ago. I would enjoy visiting with Mom’s relatives again. When I have been in Huntley, I have been asking about your family. Several people said they would try to help. Now I understand why I did not get some response from these people.
P. Alexander says
I am a 1976 Huntley Project graduate. If I am not mistaken, Mrs. Stout taught first or second grade and she was my teacher. I don’t remember much but I do remember her glasses and friendly smile. I always liked Mrs. Stout and remember her as being a nice teacher. I saw her name in the obituaries and thought I would share my condolences to the family.
