I’m so sorry to hear of Hanks passing. I knew him back in the 50’ during his time in California. We met Hank through my parents Jack and Odessa Jackson. He and Johnny lived with them on and off. My Dad and Hank were withJohnny when he passed away. They had gone to to pick my mother up in Torrance when they had car trouble . So they decided to walk the mile or so to where mom was when they had to call 912 to try to help Johnny. My parents and all 8 of there children loved them like brothers.
In 1958 my husband and I made a trip to California ‘ we lived in Arkansas at the time.. anyway he drove with us to go back home. At the time we were living with my in laws who weren’t happy with bringing him. After all they lived in a 2 bedroom house. Hank was really a vital part of our family. We were just an extension to his family and he ours. He went back to Montana with Johnny and we lost contact until my mother had a friend to scour the internet with His name . When sh found him she called him right away. When they started talking she asked him if he knew who he was talking to and he said he recognized her voice. That was in about the late 90’s . It was such a joy for my parents to reconnect
Ct with him. I think when mom saw him he went to Texas with one of his Granddaughters. Mom pass the next year but she felt she had gotten to see her adopted son and that made her life complete. We got to see him one more time about 2012-2013 when he came to my dads 80 something birthday party. That time he brought I think she was his daughter in law. I will always remember Hank and Johnny as my two other brothers giro a different mother. Hank was 4 days older than me. Thank you all for sharing them with us. And know they were both loved. Miss you Hank and Johnny Bomar. We will see you again some day. Rest in the arms of our sweet Jesus. My name is Flois Glendene Nelson and I live in Visalia California.. my email is correct (cattydene67@ yahoo.com

A year and a few months late….Hank just happened to come to mind on Christmas Eve morning. I stopped what I was doing and called his number. I then put his name in search only to see his obituary….I can’t explain how sad I am at Hanks passing. As my sister (above) said he was like my older brother. Hank and Johnny were living with us (Odessa and Jack Jackson). when Johnny died, walking down the street. My folks came home that weekend without Hank and Johnny. It was such a big loss for all of us that loved them. Hank went back to Montana with Johnnys body so we lost touch for years. Thanks to internet we were reunited with Hank in the 90s. He got my number from my mom. I just heard his voice and knew it was Hank. When he lived with us in the 50s in Southern California I was a naive 15,16 year old girl. He teased me unmercifully about boys. My Mom would only trust Hank to take me anywhere. Boys were not permitted yet.
Thankfully I got to see Hank a few more times. When he visited with the folks in Texas I would fly from California to visit with him. He never changed from how I knew him. Even tho he told stories of what a bad boy he was when he left California to go back to Montana.
I will forever miss you Hank knowing you are no longer with us on this earth but in Heaven.
RIP my dear friend
