Upon our arrival in Helena in 91, Jo and Bill were very dear friends. My heartfelt sympathy and love goes out to you all in the loss of Jo. Recently she served as a temple and family history consultant in the Family History Center in the Helena Stake with me. She will be deeply missed.

Our family has so many cherished memories of time spent with Jo Ellen and Bill through the years. They were shared their lake cabin and then their home with us from 1981 and on through the years. So many lovely and loving memories of ball games, fishing, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Jo Ellen will be deeply missed as is Bill.

Jo Ellen was one of a group of ten or so of us who started first grade together in Riverton, WY and graduated high school together. Thus, we are friends for 75 years now and have remained in touch and close. Although we have lost others, Jo Ellen was special. She was student body president at our high school and a leader all her life. She had such good sense, good humor. I can hear her laugh even now. In eternity, she joins Bill, another highly talented and compassionate product of Riverton, and a husband who cherished Jo Ellen. Many condolences to Toi, Bill, and Steve. The world is a lesser place without Jo Ellen.

Dear Bill, Breck, and families,
Thank you for sharing your dear mother with so many. She influenced my life for good–as she did with all of “her girls.” She was AMAZING! Pushy and amazing. Lol To quote Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over, laugh because it happened.” I will miss Sister Morey so much, but I thank God for allowing me the privilege of knowing her.

So sorry to hear about Jo Ellen’s passing. She was a dear friend of my mom, Linda Fowler, who passed in 2014. She was loving, service oriented, and so inviting to other people. Our sincerest condolences on her passing.

I’ve enjoyed reflecting on the impact Jo Ellen Morey had in my life 40 years ago. I have many times shared her highly-effective brand of youth mentoring. She demonstrated patience, taught me leadership skills, and was always kind. Another commented that she was a force of nature, and I certainly had that impression, even as a 12 year old! I have happy memories of her homes in Helena and on the lake, and of a day she took me skiing—just because. May happy memories of Jo Ellen comfort the friends and family she left behind.

Jo and Bill were one of my favorite bank customers years ago. I saw Jo about a year ago where she was still selling some of their products and I remained amazed at her tenacity and strength. She was a force to be dealt with and she was amazing! I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed.

Had the privalage to have Jo as a friend for about the last 10 years at Quartzsite. Great dance partner, who loved to dance.
