Julie was born in a house in Thompson Falls, MT on Oct 31, 1944 and left this world, as she was surrounded by her children and her loved ones, at her home in Helena, MT on May 22nd, 2019. She traveled extensively as a child but settled in Choteau, Montana with her siblings.
She married Larry Carrier and had 3 children. Two daughters Anita and Ginger and one son Johnny whom she lost to SIDS at 6 weeks of age. They later divorced and she then married Mike Snyder and had two more sons Grant and Jason. They settled in Butte, Montana. Though Mike and her later divorced, she stayed in Butte for the next several decades. Julie loved Butte and all it offered. She had many friends and family there and enjoyed spending time with both. She married Bill Austin and was his business partner for several years until they divorced after a 25 year marriage.
She then moved to Helena to live close to her son Grant and it was there the love of her life, Jay Leigland, came back into her life. They were high school sweethearts who found each other again and loved every day in the other’s company until the day she passed on. We thank him for the light he brought back into mom’s eyes her last few years.
