Eyler, Kathy Corbett
Kathy Corbett Eyler was born June 29, 1953 in Shelby, MT and lived most of her life here in Helena. She died July 12, 2012 after a short, but valiant battle with lung cancer.
Kathy was the oldest of five children born to Tom and Hattie Corbett. Kathy attended schools in Helena and most of her working career was spent at Qwest in the Demographics Department.
On August 2, 1981 Kathy marries the love of her life, Jim Eyler. They spent many years together before Jim passed away in 2001. They were blessed with a son, Josh.
Kathy’s life centered around her family and she could be found almost every Saturday visiting with her parents and siblings. She always made a point of keeping tabs on everyone and visiting with family and friends. She was always the first to help plan get togethers, summer bar-b-ques, and Christmas parties for the extended family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Eyler, and both parents, Tom and Hattie Corbett. She is survived by her loving son, Josh and daughter-in-law, Lena; grandson James and granddaughter, Echo. Kathy leaves behind the families of her brother’s Danny and Teresa Corbett and Dennis and Susanne Corbett; her sisters, Colleen and Dave Gould, and Yvonne Powers; and many, many nieces and nephews. We will always remember your smile and your laughter!
Kathy has asked that no services be planned as she wanted everyone to remember her healthy and smiling. She asked that we not mourn her loss, but celebrate her life. The family will gather for this celebration at a later date.

Josh and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
I was fortunate enough to work (US WEST, QWEST) with and then for Kathy when I moved to Helena in 1989-1999. What a tremendous person and she was always cracking jokes and made the work place very enjoyable.
Kathy I want to thank you for your leadership, but most of all your friendship.
Rest in peace.

To the family of Kathy,
My sympathy on your loss. Never met Kathy but knew her mom Hattie well and she was such a delightful person when we were in the TOPS group together years ago in Helena.
God’s blessings on all of the family,
Valerie Raisch

She was such a great roommate when I was living in Helena for school. We had such a good time together and she was even in my wedding party. I remember her sense of humor and her wonderful smile.
