Lois Lucille Wohlfrom Kieckbusch of Helena passed away at Apple Rehab Cooney on July 7, 2013, at the age of 91. Her husband, William E. (Bill) Kieckbusch, preceded her in death on December 17, 2003. They were married at Frontier Town in 1982 and happily shared the next twenty years living in various places in Montana and Wyoming.
Lois was born on February 15, 1922, in Helena and raised on the family ranch in Canyon Creek. She attended the Trinity School at Canyon Creek until 1935 and then attended Helena High School including the earthquake years while the high school was located in boxcars, graduating in 1940. Throughout her life, Lois worked for several businesses in Helena, and was considered the “neighborhood mother” in the Hollins Avenue area while her children were growing up. As a dedicated mother, she worked additional jobs to support her family. She was very active in garden clubs and participated and displayed her plants during the Last Chance Stampede. Her love of flowers was displayed both in her homes and flower gardens. Lois was also an amazing cook; her pork roast and other dishes have been impossible to duplicate. Participation in the Eagles Auxiliary and Women of the Moose drill teams offered Lois travel opportunities throughout the United States.
She is survived by her daughter Marian Collins; four sons, Michael Collins (Connie), Patrick, Kevin (Lilli), and Brett; step daughters Marion (Ron) Jackson and Joanne Kieckbusch (Bob Sepi); step sons Mark Kieckbusch (Katherine Earhart) and Ron Kieckbusch; four granddaughters, eight grandsons, and 14 great grandchildren; sister Mae Rehbein of Sidney, brother Earl Wohlfrom of Canyon Creek, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Bill her husband, her mother and father Murle and Burdette Wohlfrom of Canyon Creek and brother Jack who was killed in action during World War II.

Lois was such a lovely and loving person. She will be remembered by many people and I will miss her. I’m sure she was greeted by many of her friends and family members on the other side. It’s only hard for those that are left behind. Hopefully once the pain has lessened memories of her humor will bring you smiles.
