Mark Louis Bergman age 50 of Helena passed away July 28, 2010. He was born on May 23, 1960 in Pittsburg Pennsylvania to Arthur and Bernadette Bergman. When he was young, his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He grew up In Phoenix and graduated from Trevor Brown High School in 1978. He attended Phoenix Union Vocational Center, receiving a two year certificate in machining. His earliest passion was racing motorcycles with his family and traveling to races all over the southern states. He married his first wife, Charlene Montgomery and was divorced after 7 years. On April 30, 1988, he married his present wife of 22 years, Lesley Willson. On July 22, 1989, his one and only child, Nicole Rae, was born. He loved her dearly and was always very proud of her.
He started out working as a machinist in high school and became very skilled over his 34 years of machining. He worked for Palo Verde Nuclear Plant in Phoenix for 10 years. He also worked for Karlson Machine Works and R. J. Ruff, Inc. in Phoenix. He then moved his family to Montana and worked at Mine and Mill Hydraulics, until their closing, 3 years later. Mark’s most recent job at Summit Aeronautics lasted 12 years; he was one of the first machinists and later a Maintenance Supervisor. He loved his work and always strived for excellence.
He loved the mountains of Montana and enjoyed bow and rifle hunting with his wife and daughter. He finally got his first big bull elk last year. He also enjoyed shooting his bow with his family in archery leagues and tournaments. His other hobbies include: water skiing, snow skiing, fishing, golfing, 4-wheeling, camping, traveling, boating, watching NASCAR, motocross, and football, attending hockey games, and restoring cars.
He is survived by: his wife Lesley, daughter Nicole, Father and Mother, Arthur and Bernadette Bergman of Roundup, MT, two brothers, Steve of Roundup, MT and Roy of Chandler, AZ. He has 6 nieces and nephews: Joshua Bergman, Matthew and Bernadette Bergman, Melonie Wagner, James Wagner, all from Phoenix, AZ, Melissa Inhoff of Eaton, OH. He also had five great nieces and nephews: Christopher, Tyler, and Ryan Wagner, Morgan and Nick Inhoff. He will join his sister, Donna, in heaven.
Mark will be dearly missed by many friends and family.
The family will receive friends at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, Thursday, August 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6th at the funeral home.
