“I Track Upstream The Spirit’s Call” By Horace Traubel: I track upstream the spirit’s call. Far, far I go, past all the seasoned ways, challenging the cautions calendars and towns, I track upstream the spirit’s call: where it will take me I do not know, but my soul sees that it is all right and that we are not being deluded, and my feet follow my soul, often tardily, but the soul keeps on. I linger with the last apology, I play with toys, I make light of what is off there for what I can here put into my palm, I delay all farewells until the farewell of departure, and finally when leaving shed genuine tears of regret. I track upstream the spirit’s call, not daring now to disobey my dream. I am swept with the living current on and on: into whatever storm I contentedly go, into whatever peace.

Brian Evans says
I am so very sorry for your loss. Mike is a rare treasure, a true life long friend. We were separated by distance, not by thought. I will miss you.
Jim & Sue Agnew says
Still hard to believe that Mike is gone. Jim and I are so sorry for your loss. I remember when I laughed at him one day and told him he was a big marshmallow. He laughed with me and told me not to spread it around. Brian Evans said it very well. We were separated by distance, but he was never forgotten. All the memories you have, treasure them because he will never be far from your thoughts or ours.
Rebecca Perrault says
Steve and I are so sorry for your loss. There are neighbors and then there are GOOD neighbors. Neighbors come and go. Mike was a GOOD neighbor and we are sad he has gone. We pray God’s healing peace and comfort for all of you. He will be greatly missed.
Janette & Mark Sande says
Mark & I are just heartbroken about our dearest friend Mikie leaving us way too soon & without any warning. We loved him deeply. Our cabin won’t be the same without Mikie there to greet us, eat with us & make us laugh hysterically. Peace out our friend. Organize those angels upstairs. You will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. Love to Mikie’s family from us, we love you all so much & are so sorry for your hurting hearts. We have so many memories to choose from with our time with Mikie. He was one of a kind & we are both so thankful he was part of our lives. We are blessed by his friendship & love.
Allan B. Darr says
Although time and distance separated us, neither will erase the memories of Mike I will always cherish. Mike and I spent many hours together both as friends and union brothers. He was a man with a heart and grew around it. Whenever help was needed, you could count on Mike. His word was his bond and central to his life. The Lord has reserved a special place in his house for Mike and it better be a union house. If not, Mike will soon organize it. He will me missed but it is his memory will be with me each day . He loved his wife, daughter, friends and union unconditionally. He was good man and the Lord will recognize him for that. Go now Mike, your work on earth is complete.

I am so so sorry for your loss….Mike was a very special person to me and I will treasure the memories we made in “the gulch”. He was such a great help to us throughout the year on the ranch…It won’t be the same without him. I will miss his stories and his great sense of humor. And of course his work on cutting down our gopher population! Prayers to you all….he was a great man that I got the privilege to know and love.
Bev & Ken Galik and Carol & Gary Melchior says
We are sorry for your loss. Mike was a special person in the Clear Creek and Dalton Mountain cabin area. Though we only knew Mike a short time, we came to respect him, learned so much from him, and became good friends. Mike will be missed. He will be remembered and in our thoughts and prayers.
Kayla Jonas says
Grampy, I miss you so much.. This all seems so unreal! I just can’t process it yet.. I wasn’t ready! I have so many memories of growing up and you and grandma raising us and being the true heroes in our lives! I wouldn’t be who I am, with out you. You have taught me so much, I will remember everything forever. Your grandson will be here in 2+ months, baby boy Kieron Michael Allen Hollowell! He will have a part of you forever and ever! Hope your enjoying your journey up there! Our hearts are all broken.. Watch over us? Okay. I love you all the way past the gates of heaven! I can here you saying, I love you more! Like we always did..
Love Always, Cricket

Wow, I can’t believe Mike is gone. I was just searching today for Mike online. In high school I thought we were best friends. I spent 1969 in Vietnam. It changed me so much Mike and I never really connected again. I moved to Saratoga, WY in 1971 because Mike and Anna came and visited me in Oroville, CA. My phone number is 307-217-9097. Sister Kris I would love to talk to you. I love in Sheridan, WY. Call me.
