Rusty was our neighbor and it was always a delight to visit with her. She had such a great sense of humor. She will be missed.

I didn’t know Rusty for long… but oh how I was blessed to get to know her her final days on earth! She was so kind hearted and was so full of knowledge and jokes. We laughed so much in our short time together. I will eventually make it to Brooklyn, Rusty, and enjoy all the delicacies you spoke of! Go Yankees!!

Rusty was my adopted Mom. We all loved her so so much. Everyday I look outside across the street and cannot believe she is gone! We will miss her terribly. So lucky to have had her in our lives!
Jaymee says
I knew Rusty from California, as my former husband’s friend, Phil Wertz, would surely say that she was the,”love of his life”! She & Phil would drive from the San Fernando Valley, to feed cats who lived wild on property in Downey, & bring cigarettes, to, Chuck, who was, in convalescent home. When Rusty left California, she rescued Hooter, a wild “house cat”, who lived on said property & gave him a luxurious life!! She never judged Phil’s motley crew of misguided childhood friends(at that time in their late 50’s), whom she met through Phil! As the former wife of one, we corresponded via emails over the years, & I am sure we would all agree that Rusty had the best stories..a dignified humanitarion, who “got” life’s joke!! I will miss her, so. God Bless her family, whom she spoke of, so lovingly. Love, Jaymee
