Patricia (Pat) Towlerton passed away on November 11th at the age of 88. She is now with her loving husband whom she missed daily since his passing last year. She was born to Ben and Wilhelmina Haggerty in Miles City, Mt on October 10th, 1926. She attended schools in Miles City, graduating from Custer County High School in 1944. Following graduation she worked at a local bank as a bookkeeper and teller.
On August 22nd, 1946 she married Al Towlerton. To that union 4 children were born. After living in Miles City, Colorado Springs, and Bozeman, they settled in Helena in 1976. Pat stayed at home while raising her family and when they were grown, she went to work for the School District lunch program, retiring after 19 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Al, her parents and brothers. She is survived by her 4 children, Alan (Judy) Towlerton of Billings, Tammy (John) Osborne of Helena, Larry Towlerton of Helena, and Jan (Jay) Schweitzer of Missoula; three granddaughters and a grandson. Megan (Jason) Utley of Billings, Brittany Osborne of Helena, Cassidy Schweitzer of Missoula, Nathan (Jen ) Towlerton of Longbeach, Ca. and great grandson Royce Nelson of Billings.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 14th at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison. A reception will follow the graveside service at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Larry and family I a, so so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful lady. I always enjoyed talking to her when Larry brought her shopping. She was a very kind soul. I will miss her visits . I always made a point to talk with her and say hello. Take peace in knowing she missed your father dearly and now she is reunited with him. May God comfort you in theese says of sorrow . Remember the good memories they will get you t brought this. God will take care of her. He loves her so… God bless you Larry and your family
