Linda Brist says
Dear Boyd and family,
I was so sorry to hear that Roberta left this earth. 70 is still quite young in this day and age. I knew Roberta and met you, Boyd, back in 1976-77 when June Douglass and I were in that area in the ministry. I have been good friends with Rosie, your sister in law ever since those days in Helena. Rosie has mentioned Roberta from time to time and how they were able to see you and Roberta at the Mayo Clinic when Roberta needed to be there for checkups. So glad that Rosie was able to come to Helena earlier and that will Ken will be able to fly out also. I will remember you all at 10:30 on Monday morning.
Please know that I am sorry for your loss. She will be missed as a wife, a mother, a sister, and as a daughter and also as a friend.
With Sympathy and care, Linda from Salem, OR

Blanche Coleman Dangerfield says
Dear Family,
I want to send my regards to your family. Roberta was a very dear friend of mine
when I lived in Helena. She was one of my bridemaids almost 45 years ago. I moved
to Alberta then and our friendship was a phone call and Christmas letter occassionly.
I often wished we could have a coffee togather and a good visit. But the miles apart
just didn’t work. I so would have liked to come for her service but it just won’t happen
with our winter now. But just know that we our thinking of you with our sympathy
for your loss. Robert & Blanche Dangerfield

Boyd, your children, Rosie, Ruth and Luella,
So sorry to hear about Roberta and all her health problems of late. I was so glad to have seen her 10 years ago in Townsend, although it was brief. We once were good friends before marriages and life led us far apart. Am especially remembering a wonderful visit she paid Blanche, Ruth and I in Sacramento in the 60’s. Will be thinking of you all Monday as I write this from Yuma, Az. Deena and Mike Pech

Dorothy Bruer Thiede says
Dear Boyd, Jennifer, Brad and family, I am not sure how to begin here. Roberta had the brightest smile I have ever seen. She had such a beautiful outlook on life…when she and Boyd came in the salon for their haircuts…it made my day. Roberta was such a help to me when my Randy passed away…she had the words that gave such comfort. Roberta was my Friend…and a friend to all. Missing you girlfriend…and thinking of you Boyd and Jen and Brad and family. I just sang you a song Roberta…in honor or your smile…the song “Smile”.
Alexis Bell (Grose) says
I just wanted to extend my condolences to your family. I will keep her in my prayers.
God Bless
Terese Johnson says
My mother, Lillian Nelson met Roberta when they worked together at the Hwy Lab in the early 60’s…she thought the world of Roberta. They exchanged Christmas cards until Mom passed away a couple of years ago. I was in the same class as Roberta’s sisters – I remember thinking how lucky they were to have a sister like Roberta. As I recall, she was always laughing and happy.
Nikki Cory says

Betty Goetzinger Mandler says
When I lived in Helena in 1963, I spent much time with Roberta and with her mom, dad, and sisters in East Helena. They were a comfort away from home–so generous and positive. I have many warm memories of my time spent there. Sadly, after I moved East I lost touch and am so sorry about that. I don’t like to think about the world being without her generosity and warm spirit.
Bob & Karen Berry says
Dear Boyd,
Just by our walks by your house and by chance to catch you out in your yard, we enjoyed our visits with you. This is how we learned about Roberta’s illness. We are very saddened that you have lost your very special friend and wife and the mother and grandmother to your children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
