Shirley Jean Conyers, age 79, surrounded by family and friends, quietly went to her eternal home in the early morning hours of April 28th, at Aspen Gardens Assisted Living.
Shirley was born Nov. 8, 1937 in Helena, MT to Rupert and Edith Wolfe. She graduated from Helena High School in 1956. She married Robert Conyers Nov. 18, 1956 in Helena. Shirley made her choice to serve the Lord in 1958, shortly after the birth of her first daughter. She worked a variety of jobs, including Mountain Bell Telephone, A&W Drive In, First National Bank and was self-employed cleaning houses.
Shirley was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife to her late husband. She was an exceptionally gifted quilter and knitter. A deeply humble woman who was meticulous and fiercely determined in whatever she put her mind to. Known for her pies and large holiday dinners, she took great pride in bringing her family together.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, sister Eileen Shein, brother Larry Wolfe, and parents.
Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Becky and Craig Henke of Chester, MT, along with their children Bryce(Emily) Henke and Jenni (Victor) Morales. Daughter Amy North of Helena, and her children K.J. Olsen and Nickolas Salle. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Virginia and John Cada of Bozeman, MT. Great-grandchildren include: Trek and Willow Henke, Kross and Aiden Morales, and most recently, Liam Salle. Also many nieces, nephews and greats, and many special friends.
Shirley will be deeply missed. Her memory and tremendous example will continue on in the lives of her family and friends.
We would like to give special thanks to the dedicated and loving staff of Aspen Gardens Assisted Living – where she spent her final days surrounded by many friends and new-found family.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the words of John 5:28, 29 give you some comfort during this difficult time. Soon we will see our loved ones again.

Amy ~
My thoughts are with you and your family. You were such good neighbors when we lived next to each other in Blue Sky in the 80’s. You were all such good friends. Your mother and I ended up living within two houses of each other once again on the upper east side. My thoughts and condolences to you and your family.

Sorry to read this. I remember both of your parents well. My mother worked with Bob at the Taxi company. I used to get to ride around the city with Mr. Conyers. Fond memories held of them both. My thoughts and prayers to all. ‘God Bless’

So Sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. I went to High School with her. I would have come to the service, but I missed the obituary. I have many fine memories of her. When I worked at Creative Stitches, I would see her quite often. My condolences to the family. ( I met Pauline and Roy Shein when they were our neighbors at my childhood home on Clancy St. I also met Bob, their cousin, at that time.)

Becky,
I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I was out of town, or I would have stopped by for a visit. If you come to Helena, give me a call and we can get together and visit.
