Stan Clyde Coman was born on June 19, 1943 in Bismarck, ND. He was the son of Clyde and Louise Coman; both deceased. Stan is survived by his wife, Donna Coman; son Erik (Melissa) Kulbeck and grandson, James Lyle; Brother Ken (Judy) Coman. Other survivors include, many extended family members, friends from Austria, Germany, New Zealand, South Africa and Russia.
Stan graduated from NDSU in Fargo, ND with a Civil Engineering Degree. Right out of school he worked for an engineering firm in Denver, before moving to Helena in 1970. He worked as a crew chief for Bridge Bureau at Department of Transportation from 1970 to April 1, 1976.
Stan met and married the love of his life on December 27, 1975. The things he was most passionate about were his family, building houses and hunting! He started his own outfitting business, which allowed him to travel around the world and hunt on all 6 continents. He was an adventurer who loved life and always made the best of things. He will always be remembered for his selfless acts and witty sense of humor.

It is so sad to lose someone like Stan. He was the best landlord in the world. I loved it when he talked about his hunting trips. When we lived there he became a friend too. Our thoughts are with the Coman family. I am thankful to have known him.

I am so sorry for your loss! I first met Stan when I was 10 years old when my family came to Montana. He was a great man and I am glad to say that I got the privilege for him to be my landlord as an adult. My prayers with the family.
