Stephen “Steve” Hofland passed away suddenly on July 14, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at the East Helena VFW Post 10010, 117 W Main St, on Saturday, July 30 at 2:00 PM.
Steve was born to Linda (Hofland) Stevenson on December 11, 1969. He grew up with his two brothers, Dylan and Ross Kjeslrude. After leaving school from Bearcreek High School, he met the woman that he would go on to spend the rest of his life with, Deborah Hofland. They were married and had two strong daughters.
After living in Colorado, he decided to move his family to his home state of Montana. Steve started building a life for his family by becoming an apprentice in carpentry where he journeyed out to become a union carpenter. With this experience, he travelled overseas and completed construction work for the troops. After he came back to the United States, he was welcomed back with his grandson, Eben.
With his daughters full grown, Steve developed an interest in motorcycle clubs. Since he already had a passion for motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons, he was able to share this passion with a new family. He eventually prospected for the Baron’s Motorcycle Club and then became a Baron’s Nomad. He would go on to found the Barons’ Chapter in Helena, Montana.
Steve is survived by his fathers, Jerry Kjeslrude and Ike Stevenson; wife, Deborah (Schlote) Hofland; brother, Ross Kjeslrude; daughters, Candice (Josh) Leboutillier and B’Linda Hofland; grandchildren, Eben Hofland, Leya Leboutillier, and Olivia Leboutillier.

Steven, prankster, insult comic, biker, family man…hard to believe you’re gone from this realm because you were larger than life!

We are so sorry to hear about the tragic loss of Steve. He left this world too young at only 52. We will always remember that cute little blonde boy full of energy and life.
Peace and prayers to all.
