Tina May Franciolli Mansfield passed away peacefully with family on October 17, 2017. Tina was born on February 20, 1940 in Scotia, CA. She was the only child to Antonio and Edna Franciolli of Bridgeville, CA. Tina was raised on a small family orchard until she met and married George Mansfield on January 6, 1959. On February 3, 1960 they had their only child Chris. They gave her their time, their love of the outdoors, sense of humor and the great gift of laughter, and for that she will be forever grateful. The family traveled around a lot due to George’s employment with the lumber company. Taking them to Nova Scotia Canada, Carlotta CA, Susanville CA, New Castle WY, before finally settling down in Helena, MT in 1971. Shortly thereafter Tina enrolled at the VoTech and earned her degree as an LPN. Upon graduating she worked at the Masonic Home until her retirement in 1995. Tina was an avid outdoors woman and loved nature and everything about it. Her second passion was animals and they held a very special place in her heart. Her grandkids kept her very busy with their sports, fishing, teaching them how to play crib and to drive. The family is forever grateful to the caregivers at Rocky Mountain. To Chris’ co-workers and Dr Foster for the unforgettable gift of being able to be with her mom on this final journey. To Lynnae and Brenda from Hospice who kept mom comfortable and peaceful. To friends and family, thank you for your unconditional love and support during this difficult time. Tina was preceeded in death by her father Antonio, her mother Edna, and her husband George. Tina is survived by Her daughter Chris (Dave) Simac, grandchildren Ashley (Todd) Bachmeier, Whitney (Aaron) Schedel, and Dylan Simac. Great grandchildren Tristan, Isabella, and Olivia Bachmier. Stepdaughter Sandra (Weegie) Mineau, grandkids John Mineau and family, and Jennifer Fields and Family. At Tina’s request there will only be a small private family service. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Tina’s name to the Lewis and Clark Humane Society, at 2112 E. Custer Ave., Helena MT. 59602.
