On the evening of February 1, 2018, Virginia made her transition from her earthly home to her heavenly home; peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Virginia was born in Morningview, Kentucky on January 14, 1943 to Carlie & Ernest Lykins.
Virginia was a strong woman of faith & prayer. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her Jack Russell terrier, Eddie. She liked playing Skip-Bo with her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face & the joy of the Lord in her heart. Even on her worst of days if you asked her, “How are you today?” Her answer was always, “I’m Blessed!” Last year Virginia moved across the country from Battle Creek, Michigan to Montana to join her family who had recently made the venture. Stopping at Mt. Rushmore, to which she replied, “I thought it would be bigger”. She was “Blessed” to see the beauty that is Montana, visiting Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. She was an avid wildlife lover.
Virginia is proceeded in death by her mother, Carlie Scaggs, her father Ernest Lykins, her twin sister Virgie Ervin, her brother Freeman Lykins, and brother Frankie Lykins.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Julie Densmore (Randy), granddaughters Grace Densmore & Gabrielle Densmore; all of Helena, Montana, a grandson Randy Densmore Jr (Karina) of Great Falls Montana, a sister Claretta Johnson of Napleon, Ohio, sister Ilean Johnson of Troy, Tennessee, sister Wanda Lykins of Battle Creek, Michigan, sister Betty Jeffers of Ridgeville, South Carolina, sister Jeannie Lykins of Fowlerville, Michigan, sister Margie Lykins of Houston, Texas. Brothers Harold Lykins, Dale Lykins, Paul Lykins, & Gary Lykins; all of Howell, Michigan, & several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will take place from 12:00 p.m. with a memorial service to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. in Helena, Montana. Virginia will be laid to rest at Forestvale Cemetery in Helena following the service. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help cover the cost of final expenses under the title “Our Eema’s Celebration of Life.” Please visit www.aswfuneralhome.com to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of Virginia.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother. Try to take comfort in knowing that she is having the time of her life in heaven with Jesus. I know there are no words that I can say to truly soften your pain inside. I have been praying for you and will continue to pray for you and your family for comfort from Jesus.
Y. McBeath says
My sincere condolences on your loss. May you find some comfort from the words of Isaiah 25:8. Soon our enemy death will be swallowed up forever.

My sweet aunt, I hope you knew how much I loved you. You are such an awesome woman, strong and loving. We are all blessed to have you in our lives and in our hearts. You are a great mother and grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. You now get to dance and sing in Heaven with those that have gone before you and with Jesus. You are missed and loved very much. I will see you again in Heaven. I love you dearly. Julie my heart feels for you. Just know she is still with all of you, just in a different way.

I join in expressing sorrow over the loss of Virginia. I was her boyfriend for a couple of years. I met her when we lived in apartments at Cherry Hill Manor in Battle Creek,MI. Virginia was a kind and considerate person. She loved her Sisters and her Daughter as well as her Grand-Children. I did a comprehensive Photograph Record of Virginia and her Family several years ago and put it on CD Discs for her Daughter and other Family Members. Virginia loved Music very much! She will always be in my thoughts!
